Lord of the Land (temporary name) is a turn-based strategy game focusing on inter-player or player-computer combat and domestic control/upkeep. The setting is fantasy based: castles instead of towns, dragons instead of an air force, gnomes instead of human miners...
The fighting aspect of the game focuses on building fighting units to attack and defend and walls to keep out opponents. The fighting units come in three types: land, sea and sky. There are several creatures of each type, each with a different difficulty level. There are also several types of walls; players can build stronger and stronger walls to keep up with the stronger units that opponents create.
The domestic aspect of the game focuses on developing the land in order to have resources. A player can cultivate the land for such things as food, magic and lumber. The player must keep a good balance of all resources in order for the territory to thrive.
See development link for temporary outline. Those interested in working on this game should be familiar with this information for our first meeting.
